Boat Rental Requirements
1. All boat reservations are on a first come, first serve basis, only.
2. All daily rental boats are required to be back at our docks at 5 PM. Overnight rentals must be docked by 7PM. Rental boats don't have lights, no night operation is permitted.
3. You have to be a minimum of 21 years of age to sign and agree to the rental contract.
4. If you were born on or after July 1, 1972, You must possess an approved Maryland Boating Safety Certificate to operate the rental boat. Otherwise, you may be issued a Temporary Boating Education Certificate after reading a safety information sheet created by the MD Department of Natural Resources in order to rent and operate a recreational vessel. Limited to two (2) certificates in a lifetime.
5. A 50% reservation deposit of the base price is required for ALL multi-day boat rentals at the time of reservation.
6. NO refunds will be issued for any reason including inclement weather.
7. If you need to cancel your reservation, you must cancel by phone or email at least three (3) days, (72 hours) prior to the start of your boat rental date/period listed on your reservation to receive your deposit back in full. If you cancel less than 3 days (72 hours) from your boat rental reservation date appointment, then you forfeit the entire reservation deposit.
8. Gasoline is not included in the rental price. Your boat will be filled with gas at the start of your rental. Before you return the boat at the end of your rental period, you must fill the gas tank and return the boat with a full tank of gas. If you do not, we will have to charge you the current market cost of gas on the lake to fill up the boat plus an additional $25.00. If you run out of gas and we have to come and get you we will charge you $25.00 plus the cost of gas.
9. We'll provide the U.S. Coast Guard approved safety equipment and lifejackets. You must wear your PFD's while boating if 12 years of age or younger.
10. Keep 100 FT away from shore, docks, boats, etc. Watch out for downed skiers, tubers and swimmers at all times.
11. No one is permitted on rear sun-pad, rear deck or seat tops while boat is in operation.
12. If you incur rough water, slow down and drive accordingly. Please drive responsibly and adhere to all Maryland Boating laws and regulations.
13. All boats must be docked, beaching is not permitted. Damaged Props cost $195 or more to replace.
14. If for some reason the boat breaks down, the time of the breakdown is built into the rental rates. After we are notified of a breakdown, we will either attempt to repair the boat, or it will be replaced within a reasonable amount of time.
15. Returning a boat unreasonably dirty, to include dirt, food, trash etc., will be charged a $100.00 cleaning fee. No Cooking or Grills permitted.
16. We recommend that you allow yourself ample time to refuel at the end of your rental period. Gas stations on the lake are normally busy with rental customers all refilling at same time. If you are late returning the boat, there will be a $50.00 fee assessed for every 30 minutes you're late.
